Here are just a few images from this evenings incredible Transient Orca encounter!
We headed out for an evening tour hoping to catch up with some Transient Orcas that had been spotted out east but were moving up the west side of San Juan Island as we headed out of Victoria Harbour. As we arrived on scene we first spotted T20 & T21, and they were moving swiftly North.
We also encountered at least 10 more Transient Orcas moving north along the west side of San Juan Island, including the T100's and T124's. As we watched the Orcas we saw a young male playing with a female Orca!
A stunning sunset was the finale to an incredible evening encounter:)
