Once again we encountered Humpback Whales near race Rocks as October continues to be a Humpback Whale festival! This has been one of our best year yet for encounters with Humpback Whales and has even included Humpback Whales we have never seen in the Salish Sea before:)
Whilst we were on scene we witnessed some wonderful Tail Flukes and the mother & calf were playing with Bull Kelp!
The amount of Humpback Whales returning to the Salish Sea over the last 9 years has been remarkable. We hope this trend will continue for the rest of this season and next year as well!
