Superpod today! Aug 16th, 2012

Today all three pods of Resident Orcas returned to the Salish Sea:) We first got a report that many Orcas had been spotted near Sheringham Lighthouse heading East and we caught up with all three Resident Orca pods near Sooke and soon realized we had a Superpod:) The Orcas continued traveling east and in the afternoon they were just south of Victoria. Watching all 86 southern Resident Orcas is always a huge thrill! We also visited Race Rocks MPA to show our guests the hundreds of Sea Lions and Seals that are resting on the rocks there. It was an incredible day on the water:)
