Humpback Whale near Race Rocks! Sept 2nd, 2012

Here are a few images from today’s encounters with a Humpback Whale near Race Rocks.

We headed out on our 10am tour and had not had any reports of whales being sighted in our area. Our Captain Trev, traveled a little to the west of Race Rocks and through his binoculars picked up this Humpback Whale a few miles to the west of Race Rock:)

In the afternoon the Humpback Whale had traveled further to the west but we managed to find the whale once again. When we were on scene we witnessed some lunge feeding and wonderful tail fluking.
