Early this morning we received a report that a large number of
Resident Orcas had been sighted near Sooke heading towards Victoria:)
We
caught up with the Resident Orcas near Becher Bay and soon realized we
had most if not all of L-pod, over 40 Orcas! The Orcas were spread
across the Strait of Juan De Fuca and we could see members of L-pod in
all directions. The Orcas were being very active and playful and we
witnessed some tail slaps, Pectoral Waves and even a breach:)
Apart from the Resident Orcas, we also showed our guests the Sea Lions & Seals at Race Rocks.
What a wonderful way to start the day:)
