July 31st. Afternoon encounter with J & K-pod plus the Gray Whale!

Here are a few images from our wonderful afternoon encounter with J & K-pod off San Juan island in thick fog!

We headed out this afternoon in dense fog but still managed to pick up members of J & K-pod off San Juan Island. Despite the fog we had a wonderful encounter and the conditions just made the trip even more mysterious and special.

On our way home we stopped in at the Chain Islets to show our passengers the many Harbor Seals and Pups that can be found in this protected area.

We also had another great encounter with the Gray Whale, this time near Victoria Golf Course.

July 30th. Breathtaking evening encounter with J & K-pod!

Here are just a few images from our breathtaking evening encounter with J & K-pod!

We had an amazing encounter with members of J & K-pod including watching J28 "Polaris" with her Calf hunting for Salmon! In fact if you look closely at these pictures you will see Polaris has a Salmon in her mouth. I will let the pictures above speak for themselves:)

It was such a wonderful ...and unforgettable evening, one of the best this season!
