It was another wonderful encounter with Resident Orcas as we caught up with members of J-pod near Boundary Pass.
We had received reports early this morning that members of J-pod had been sighted in Andrew’s Bay heading north and we managed to catch up with them near Turn Point as they headed into Boundary Pass. Many of the pod had already crossed Boundary and were near Pender Bluffs, but the Cookie Crew had lagged behind. The Cookie Crew consists of J22 “Oreo”, J34 “Doublestuff” and J38 “Cookie”.
The Orcas were playing around as they crossed Boundary Pass and we did see several tail slaps.
