We headed out this evening with our 2 vessels full of excited passengers hoping to see Orcas and we did not disappoint them:)
Our journey took us to the west side of San Juan Island where we encounter several Resident Orcas, mostly members of J-pod. The Orcas were spread out milling up and down the island as they hunted for Salmon.
We had a wonderful encounter with one of the youngsters that tail slapped and then rolled on its back before waving at us with its tail flukes!
As we headed home we were treated to a stunning west coast sunset!
