We set out this morning with our two vessels and encountered Jpod near Andrews Bay on San Juan Island. The pod was in 2 close knit groups moving slowly north in the face of an ebb. It was wonderful to see the 25 members of Jpod dive and surface in almost perfect harmony as they made their way to Turn Point.
It was at Turn Point where we caught up with Jpod in the afternoon. As Jpod crossed from Turn Point over towards Pender Island we observed some spectacular Orca behaviour including breaches, spyhops, tailslaps and a cartwheel, it was breathtaking!
Today was the first day of summer, and it was incredible to enjoy the summer solstice on board our vessels watching another magical sunset:)
