Today we celebrated Earth Day with our first encounter of the season with members of J & K-pod near Pender Island! It was a wonderful day to be on the water with the sun shinning and flat calm seas. We identified several members of J & K-pod including J27 "Blackberry", J16 "Slick", K40 "Raggedy", and K21 "Cappuccino". They all looked great and it was so nice to see members of the Southern Resident Orcas once again:)
Apart from the Orcas we also encountered Dal''s Porpoise and a Minke Whale near Spieden Island. It was an unforgettable afternoon on the water:)
