Transient Orcas near Victoria! April 9th, 2012

On April 9th, we encountered two different pods of Killer Whales not far from Victoria! The first group of Orcas was at the top of Haro Strait and had come from near Lime Kiln Whale Park. The second group of Orcas were encountered near Kelp Reef and were attacking a Steller Sealion. Thankfully for the sealion this seemed more of a training exercise as the Orcas attacked the animal for a while and then moved on.
