SATURDAY, APRIL 11, 2009, T-123's
Saturday, April 11, 2009 T-123's
For the last 3 weeks Transient (Marine-Mammal-Eating) Killer Whales have ruled the waters off Victoria...Today yet again, as the T-123 group chased and caught seals off Cormorant Point, to the North of Gordon Head.
In addition, we found a Steller Sea Lion (approx. weight 600kg, or about 1,400lbs)sitting up on the rocks just South of Seabird Point on Discovery Island. This is an unusual place for a Sea Lion to haul out: Was he avoiding the sharp teeth of the T-123's?
