What an amazing day on the water with encounters with Resident Orcas (J-pod), a Wolf and the Canadian Submarine HMCS Victoria! We encountered the Resident Orcas off San Juan Island as they were milling near Pile Point. J-pod members could be seen hunting for Salmon and socializing. We could see J2 "Granny" amongst the members of J-pod, J2 is the oldest Orca we know of, estimated to have been born in 1911. Apart from the Resident orcas we also saw a Wolf on Discovery Island! On our way into Victoria Harbour we saw HMCS Victoria tied up at the Coast Guard Station! It was another fantastic day on the water:)
