Today we encountered J-pod of San Juan Island early in the morning heading north! However, not long after we arrived on scene some of the Orcas decided to turn south and as we looked on we saw a large male (L87, who has become an almost permanent member of Jpod) breach and then cart wheel as he signaled to the rest of the Pod to move south. By the time we headed out in the afternoon the Resident Orcas were just a little north of Lime Kiln, not far from where we had left them in the morning:)
