Morning Superpod out west! August 26th, 2013

This morning we received an early report that the entire Southern Resident Orca clan had been spotted out west forming a "Superpod" of over 80 Orcas:) When we arrived on scene we could see the Resident Orcas were stretched across the Strait of Juan De Fuca Strait from Becher Bay on the Canadian side to Crescent Bay on the American side. It was a breathtaking site to see so many Resident Orcas together as we followed them west. We got to witness breaching, cartwheels, tail lobs, spy hops, tail slaps and much much more:) We also experienced some incredible vocalizations and echolocations over our hydrophone!
