Northern Elephant Seals and Steller Sealions.

Here are just a few pictures from todays incredible trip where we saw over 150 Harbor Porpoise, 12 Northern Elephant Seals, and 7 Pacific White Sided Dolphins! We also saw several Bald Eagles, Harbor Seals and both California & Steller Sealions.

Our adventure started at Haystok where we saw several Bald Eagles and Harbor Seals. At Race Rocks we counted at least 12 Northern Elephant Seals, several Steller Sealions and a few California Sealions and Harbor Seals.

South of Race Rocks we also encountered well over a Hundred Harbor Porpoise and our passengers watched in awe as we sat in silence as several of these small Porpoise swam near our boat!

At the Chain Islands we saw more Harbor Seals, another Bald Eagle and various other Marine Birds. We then headed south of Discover Island into Haro Strait and this is where we had the Highlight of the trip as we encountered several Pacific White-Sided Dolphins, possibly as many as 7! This was a rare experience indeed as it is not often so many of these amazing Cetaceans are found in our water.
