Transient Orcas found near Sooke! May 7th, 2008.

Our 2pm tour headed out today with brisk winds but high hopes of finding Transient Orcas and we were not disappointed!

The crew on board our vessel "Fastcat" reported sighting Orcas at 3.00pm today near Sooke. Marine Mammal Researcher, Ron Bates and our Naturalist Jacklyn Barrs, soon recognized these 2 Transient Orcas as T20 and T21. These 2 Transient Orcas have been sighted numerous times in the water around Victoria over the last 6 weeks.

Sealions, Seals, Northern Elephant Seals and Eagles were also sighted during our 3 hour tour.
