REMINDER: Tomorrow (Thurs, April 22, 2010) Earth Day Whale Watching Proceeds to The Land Conservancy

Join us on our 2:00pm, Thursday, April 22, 2010 (Earth Day) cruise and help fund TLC’s Wild Hills and Beaches Campaign to help purchase Western Forest Products lands in the Jordan River and Sooke Hills area. This is a very important conservation event that can impact the local environment and natural resources.

Five Star Whale Watching is hosting a special Earth Day cruise leaving Victoria’s Inner Harbour at 2 p.m. with proceeds going directly to TLC. “We need the public to remember that protecting Vancouver Island’s wild hills and beaches requires long-term funding and commitment,” says Eric Johnson, Five Star’s Owner and President. “Local residents and tourists alike will have access to these amazing lands only because TLC and CRD courageously stepped forward to save them. We all need to make certain they have the financial resources to continue this valuable work.”

In addition to helping fundraise for this valuable acquisition, Five Star's goal is to inspire individuals, other businesses and all levels of government to contribute over the coming months to TLC.

To participate in these Earth Day fundraisers on Thursday, April 22, 2010, please visit TLC’s website at www.conservancy.bc.ca or contact:
