Transient Orcas near Victoria! April 16th, 2010
April continues to provide some amazing wildlife experiences as yet again Five Star Whale Watching enjoyed observing a pod of Transient Orcas a few miles south of Victoria!
We encountered the Transient Orcas, near Albert Head and they were soon identified by Ron Bates, MMRG, as the T124's. The Orcas were in a very playful mood with tailflukes, tailslaps and pectoral waves being observed by our excited passengers:)
Apart from the T124's we also had the thrill of seeing Harbour Porpoise, Harbour Seals and Northern Elephant Seals. Oh and the now famous resident Yellow-Bellied Marmot;)
With the sun out and calm seas it was another perfect spring day on the water!
