Here are a few images from today's encounter with Minke Whales, Harbor Porpoise and Seals. It was a damp and windy day but it did not detract from the fun we had on the water today!
We encountered the Minke Whales at Hein Bank and the Porpoise just south of Discovery Island. Their were lots of Seals in the water out feeding today with a number of large bait balls observed.
On our way home stopped at the Chain Islets to show our guests this important ecological reserve. Our crew pulled aboard a piece of Bull Kelp and provided an entertaining and educational kelp talk. A few passengers were even brave enough to join the crew in kelp tasting:)
