Here are some images from our wonderful afternoon encounter with Jpod. We headed out this afternoon with both our vessels full of excited passengers hoping to see Orcas and we did not disappoint:)
The Orcas were encountered spread out along the west side of San Juan Island from Pile Point to Andrew's Bay. As we watched the Orcas travel north we were lucky enough to see two matrilineal groups in close formation and at times porpoising!
On our way home we stopped off at the Chain Islets and showed our guests the Harbour Seals that use this area as a pupping ground. We even saw a Bald Eagle at Great Chain, sat on the remains of a Cormorant nest.
It was another fantastic day on the water:)
