Chilean Navy Training vessel!
This morning we received reports that L-pod had been encountered near Sooke in thick fog heading East towards Victoria. By the time we headed out on our 10am tour the Orcas were only 1 & 1/2 miles south of Trial Island!We had a wonderful encounter and here are a few pictures to show what a special trip this was, even Ken Balcomb from the Whale Research Center came out to see L-pod. L-pod had recently been spending time on the west coast of Vancouver Island and it was great to see them again:)
