What an amazing day on the water with another unforgettable encounter with J-pod and a handful of L-pod:)
The Orcas were in a very active & playful mood today and we witnessed everything from tail slapping, to hunting for salmon and several Spy Hops. The Highlight of the day was when young J34 "Double Stuf", made an incredible breach that took our breaths away. As can be seen in the photo's above he launched almost his entire body completely out of the water when he breached, a very impressive site!
Apart from the playful Resident Orcas we also saw several hundred Harbor Porpoise, a large number of Harbor Seals and even a couple of Bald Eagles.
