Bald Eagles at Trial Island

What a day on the water and after yesterday's wind storm that kept us off the water, it was great to be back out in the Salish Sea.
We encountered a wide range of Marine Mammals and other wildlife this afternoon including large numbers of Harbor Seals, Steller Sealions, Northern Elephant Seals and at least half a dozen Bald Eagles!
However the highlight and most exciting part of our adventure was when we encountered a Humpback Whale just south of the Chain Islets! This was the first Humpback Whale that had been sighted in the Salish Sea this year and it was very exciting as we sat and watched this large baleen whale feed.
It is days like this that really make you feel blessed to be able to be out on the water!
