July 3rd – Jpod off San Juan Island!

Today we had another wonderful encounter with Jpod off San Juan Island! The Orcas were doing a lot of foraging (hunting) today and we could see a lot of Salmon in the water and jumping out of the water, most probably Pink Salmon. Resident Orcas feed primarily on Chinook Salmon though so there must be some Chinook in the waters as well as the Resident Orcas have been hanging out for over a week now 
We got to see some breaching and pectoral waves as well today!
