Our 2 Expedition Catamarans set out this morning and headed towards San Juan Island after receiving word that members of Jpod had been sighted nearby. On arrival we soon identified J30 "Riptide", a male born in 1995, along with his mother J14 "Samish (born in 1974), and his 2 sisters J37 "Hy'shqa" (born in 2001) and J40 "Suttles" (born in 2004). Another member identified was J8 "Spieden (born in 1933) one of the oldest members of Jpod.
The Orcas travelled up and down the west side of San Juan Island throughout the day and evening.
