This morning we had an incredible encounter with members of L-pod off Salmon Bank! We identified the Orcas as L2 "Grace" and her sons L78 "Gaia" & L88 "Wavewalker". The Orcas were actively foraging (hunting for Salmon) and we had an incredible view as L78 "Gaia" chased and obviously caught a Salmon a couple of hundred yards from our boat!
Apart from the Orcas we also encountered a couple of Minke Whales and a number of very very playful Dall's Porpoise who thrilled our passengers as the Dall's played vigorously in our bow wave:)
