This afternoon we had a wonderful encounter with both L-pod and a Minke Whale!The Orcas had traveled south during the day and were near Salmon Bank in the afternoon. We observed a lot of foraging whilst we were on scene as the Orcas hunted for Salmon.
As we were not far from Hein Bank we decided to have a look to see if we could find a Minke Whale and we managed to find at least two:)
We then returned to the Orcas and had a very nice encounter with L41 "Mega", who is now the oldest and largest male in the Southern Resident Orca population!
