Terrific Transient Orca encounter in the morning! July 8th, 2011
This morning we headed a few miles south of Davidson Rock after receiving a report that Transient Orcas had been sighted north of Smith Island. Not long after we arrived on scen Ron Bates, MMRG, identified the Orcas as the T46 & T49 pod of Transient Orcas:)
We followed the group as they moved North East towards Rosario Strait. As we were watching the Orcas a Harbour Seal suddenly popped up behind the Orcas, a very lucky Seal indeed!
