Humpbacks, Grey Whale, Minke Whale, Stellars Sea Lions and more.... July 24th 2007!

Today the sun finally came out after a weeks absence and it signalled the start of another incredible day on the water. We were treated to up to 9 Humpback Whales in the Juan De Fuca Strait today, a very rare occurrence at this time of the year but one that delighted the crew and passengers alike! As if 9 Humpback Whales were not enough a Gray Whale was seen near Crescent Beach and a Minke Whales was observed at Eagle Point, it was like a Whale Festival out on the water:)
Apart from all these incredible large Whales, we were also delighted to find Elephant Seals at Race Rocks as well as a large number of Stellar Seallions and Harbor Seals, including an number of Pups.
Today was just another example of the rich bio-diversity that this pristine Marine Environment has to offer.
