Although Friday the 13th is considered unlucky by some people, it certainly was not the case today for those of us fortunate enough to be on the water. During the morning and early afternoon J Pod and K Pod were off the West Coast of the San Juan Islands travelling North. Later in the afternoon Kpod turned south near Kellett Bluff and continued to travel south for the rest of the afternoon and early evening.

During the afternoon and evening tours we observed a very active and playful Kpod. Our passengers were lucky to see so much action including countless breaches, tailslaps, spyhops, cartwheels, logging and pectoral slaps. It left all on board in complete awe at these incredible marine mammals.
