Today was another scorcher on the water and a day filled with plenty of Marine Wildlife including Orcas, Minke Whales, a Humpback Whale, Elephant Seals and Seals. Lpod was sighted this morning heading West between Otter Point and Jordan River. In the afternoon a lone Humpback was sighted near Secretary after an extensive search and our patience was rewarded, as can be seen from the pictures above. We also sighted three Elephant Seals and a number of Harbor Seals at Race Rocks. Our sister vessel, Supercat, again discovered several Minke Whales lunge feeding near Heine Bank.
No wonder the Salish Sea is acknowledged as being one of the best places in the world to see such a wide variety of Marine Mammals.
