JPod near Eagle Point and False Bay, July 16th 2007.

Seals at Chain Islands.

Harbor Porpoise.

The four pictures above are of J30 "Riptide".

Spyhop.

Passengers enjoy the perfect weather for Whale Watching.

Here is a picture of Supercat at speed. Even when our boat is full we have enough room in the heated cabin area for almost all our passengers. With the cooler air this morning, most of our passengers took advantage of this feature, though a few brave souls did remain upstairs.

This morning our crew aboard Supercat took a hunch and headed towards Heine Bank so that they were in a good position when the reports came in that Jpod had been sighted near Eagle Point, good job guys!
In the afternoon we caught up to Jpod near False Bay and got to see several members including J14 "Samish", J40 "Suttles" (a 3 year old), J30 "Riptide", J33 "Keet", J16 "Slick" and J42 (the new calf).
On the way home we saw a large number of Harbor Porpoises in Haro Strait not far from Chatam Island and also had time to see a number of Harbor Seals at the Chain Islands. It was another great day on the water!
