Superpod, Superpod, J, K & L-pod together off Victoria!!! Aug 13th, 2010

Marine Naturalist Christa, and passengers from Spain watch in awe as the Superpod passes by Victoria!

Here are a few images from this afternoons encounter with Superpod, (J, K & L-pod together) traveling past Victoria! We also encountered the Gray Whale East of Discovery Island as well as a couple of Bald Eagle and even a Golden Eagle!

Watching a Superpod of almost 90 whales all together is a unforgettable site and one that was an incredible experience for our passengers from all over the world including Spain, Ireland and the USA.

So much for Friday the 13th supposed to be unlucky, we could not have had a better day on the water and with the Orcas so close to Victoria! We also showed our guests the bounty of wildlife at Race Rocks including Harbor Seals, Steller & California Sealions and Northern Elephant Seals that included a large Bull, capable of weighing over 4,000lbs and reaching lengths of 13'!
