Transient Orcas in Haro Strait! Oct 6th, 2012

Here are a few images from today's wonderful encounter with Transient Orcas in Haro Strait!

The Transient Orcas were identified as the T36's and T49's including T49A. We followed the Transient Orcas as they traveled south from Zero Rock towards Discovery Island. The Orcas were in resting mode for the first part of our time with them but then switched to hunting mode near the end of our encounter.

Apart from the Transient Orcas we also saw several Harbor Porpoise and Steller Sea lions, both potential prey for Transient Orcas!
