We caught up with JPod this afternoon just south of Pender Island and they were in resting mode. All 25 animals were swimming closely together and coming up to the surface almost at the same time. This behaviour is typical when Orcas rest as they do a series of slow shallow dives near the surface before making a long deep dive.
