Minke Whale near Heine Bank, June 14th 2007

Yet another breathtaking sunset.

Harbour Porpoises

Harbour Seal

Porpoising Minke Whale!!!!

Minke Whales are the second smallest of the Baleen Whales.

We set out this evening in search of Marine Mammals and were delighted to see several Harbour Porpoises, Seals and at least two if not three Minke Whales. One of the Minke Whales was even seen to be porpoising at one stage and travelling at approx 16 kts, something none of us on board had ever seen before, it was amazing!
The evening ended with yet another breathtaking sunset and the colours on the water were amazing.
