We headed out at 12.30 today on Fastcat and thanks to information from our sister ship, Supercat, we caught up with Jpod and 4 members of the L12's a sub pod of Lpod.

Both Jpod and the L's seemed to be in resting mode as we watched them and were in close formation with the L's a little further south of JPod. We got an excellent look at various members of Jpod including J2 "Granny", J1 "Ruffles", J30 "Riptide", J26 "Mike", J22 "Oreo", J11 "Blossom", J16 "Slick" and the new calf J42.

After spending time with Jpod we then spent time observing the L's, which included L25 "Ocean Sun", L77 "Matia", L94 "Calypso" and L41 "Mega".

On the way back we also got to see a Bald Eagle near the Chain Islands and then enjoyed a choppy ride back across the waterfront. Everyone agreed it was a great day to be on the water.
