J Pod near Pender Island, June 2nd.

Little J42 waving her pectoral fin.

Sister (J42) & Brother (J26)

Its a family affair, J42, J16 & J 26 together.

By the time we ventured out for our evening trip J Pod had travelled North and we caught up with them just South of Pender Island.
When we arrived on scene we observed J42 travelling with her Mother J16 "Slick" and older brother "Mike". The little one was in a play full mood and we watched as she pocked her head above water several times, made a number of tail slaps and rolled on her back to show off her tiny pectoral fin, as if waving to her many admirers on our two boats.
As if that wasn't enough we also got to observe not one but two full breaches. It was one of the best trips of the season so far and finished off by another breathtaking sunset on the way home.
