What an incredible day to be on the water with members of K & Lpod returning to our area after spending time out west! We followed the Orcas as they moved across the Victoria waterfront in the morning and afternoon, heading East towards San Juan Island.  As they got closer to the island the Orcas picked up speed and began to Porpoise and we also saw several breaches and tailslaps. It left no doubt that all the Southern Resident Orcas were about to be reunited and form a Superpod:)

During our evening tour we encountered Superpod just north of Lime Kiln Whale Park and witnessed some incredible social behavior! As we sat quietly in awe of these amazing marine mammals we observed spy hops, tailslaps, cartwheels, pectoral slaps, close interaction and several breaches, which left everyone speechless..... almost;) On our journey home we were all buzzing with excited energy after such an incredible experience. Sometimes I have to pinch myself and feel so lucky that I have such an amazing job!

Thank you for taking a picture of the boat, I could see my Son and I at the front of it. The whale pics are excellent!
