Final evening trip of 2008 with Transient Orcas! Sept 20th, 2008.

This evening we embarked on our final evening trip of the 2008 season and enjoyed a wonderful encounter with the T40's. We encountered the T40's south of Race Rocks MPA and not long after we arrived on scene the rest of the vessels left and so out two boats, Supercat & Fastcat were the left to enjoy the spectacle of these Apex predators! The Orcas were not moving far from the spot we first sighted them as we arrived on scene and seemed to be socializing.

On our way home we stopped off at Race Rocks to show our passengers the hundreds of Stellar and California Sealions that were hauled out on the rocks. We could also see a large number of Harbor Seals, the favorite prey item of the T40's.

We have enjoyed some of the most memorable trips of the season during our many evening excursions this year and during may of these excursions our vessels were the only ones on scene!
