L73 "Flash" Fishing.
J16 "Slick" and J42.
This afternoon we headed toward Hein Bank and encountered J, K and Lpod foraging for Salmon. We watched in awe as several Orcas hunted and caught Chinook Salmon. The Highlight was watching L73 "Flash" go after at least one if not two 25-30 lb Salmon. We could hear his Echolocation over our Hydrophone and then the intense buzz as he stunned the Salmon and went in for the kill, it was breathtaking! We also saw several members of Jpod including J1 "Ruffles", J2 "Granny", J26 "Mike, J16 "Slick" and J42.
