Encounters with Transient Orcas! Sept 20th, 2008.

The pictures above were taken by Ron Bates, MMRG.

Despite grey skies we still had some wonderful encounters with the T40 group of Transient Orcas today. This group includes two females, T41 and T41A, plus a male T44.

We followed the Orcas throughout the day as the hunted and killed at least one Harbor Seal. In the evening our two vessels were the only boats on scene as the Orcas milled around in almost the same spot for over an hour.

Apart from the Orcas we also had the opportunity to see Harbor Seals, Stellar & California Sealions, Northern Elephant Seals and even four Brown Pelicans at Race Rocks.

September continues to deliver and provide incredible trips!
