Here are a few images from this mornings encounter with the Southern Resident Orcas, who returned to the area today after spending a couple of days out west!
When we first got reports this morning of Orcas being spotted off San Juan Island in fog we thought they must be the Transient Orcas we had been watching yesterdat. However, as reports came in of more and more Orcas being spotted we realized the Residents were back:)
During our tour this morning we also had a wonderful encounter with Dall's Porpoise in Haro Strait and briefly saw the Gray Whale that is still hanging around!
