The pictures above are of the up to 5 Humpback Whales we saw today.

We set out this afternoon after receiving reports of up to 5 Humpback Whales in the area. Sure enough we were not disappointed as we came upon 3 Humpback swimming together. During our time observing the Humpbacks we saw several impressive tail flukes as the animals went on deeper dives. We also watched one animal lift its large pectoral fin out of the water. Two Humpbacks were seen swimming under a beautiful rainbow a magical sight.

During our tour we also stopped by Race Rocks ecological reserve where we observed countless Harbor Seals, Stellar and California Sealions and a lone female Elephant Seal lying on the rocks.

Then we received word that a group of Transient Orcas had been sighted moving through Oak Bay so off we went. Not long after arriving on scene the transients were identified as the T20's Transient Orca Pod. We watched as the large Bull Male accompanied by a female came through Bains Channel and headed towards Great Chain Island, obviously searching for Harbor Seals.

October continues to provide unforgettable trips every time we head out on the water!
