MONDAY, MAY 18, J-pod RESIDENT KILLER WHALES near San Juan Island

MONDAY, MAY 18, J-pod RESIDENT KILLER WHALES near San Juan Island

We awoke to turbulent weather, with high winds and "confused" seas making it extremely difficult to find wildlife along the Victoria waterfront.
Then, just as we began to have doubts about what we might find, J-pod of Resident ("Fish-Eating") Killer Whales appeared off San Juan Island.

The weather conditions only added to the excitement as we could clearly see the power and grace of the Resident Killer Whales as they surged through the seas.
