MONDAY, MAY 25, J-16 "SLICK" & J-pod of RESIDENT (Fish-Eating) KILLER WHALES AT EAGLE POINT, SAN JUAN ISLAND
It is remarkable how the Southern Resident Killer Whales have adapted as humans have started to live closer and closer to Killer Whale habitat..."Adapted" may not be the correct term, as it seems more accurate to say that the Orcas have continued to ignore us of the the bipedal variety.
The crew and staff at Five Star Whale Watching remind ourselves each and every day that this state of grace exhibited by the Southern Resident Killer Whales puts an even greater onus on us to respect their habitat.
