Here are just a few images of this evenings spectacular encounter with Jpod near Pender Island. Although it took a while to get to where the Orcas were this evening, we were rewarded with a spectacular encounter with several members of Jpod, including the new calf J44 once again:) It was a beautiful evening as we watched several Jpod members cross from Turn Point over towards Pender Island as the sun began to go down. The colours on the water were breathtaking and we had an amazing shot with members of Jpod in the foreground and Mt. Baker in the background, priceless! As well as J44 we saw J34 "Doublestuff", J32 "Rhapsody", J38 "Cookie" and J22 "Oreo".
A stunning sunset on our way home was the perfect ending to an unforgettable evening on the water!
