Multiple Humpback Whales! Sept 12th, 2012

Today we headed out into the Salish Sea in almost perfect conditions and found not one but four Humpback Whales south of Race Rocks!
The sea was calm and the sun shining as we left the harbour this morning hoping to find some type of whale for our guests, little did we know we would end up finding 4 Humpback Whales:) We had not left the harbour when we got the first report that Humpback Whales had been sighted  and when we arrived on scene we had four Humpback Whales south of Race Rocks:) Whilst we were on scene we got to see some wonderful tail flukes as the Humpback Whales majestically made a deep dive.
In the afternoon the Humpback Whales were still south of Race Rocks and we sent both our boats out with excited passengers who were thrilled at the encounter with four of these incredible Baleen Whales. Humpback Whales are by far the largest of the Whales we consistently see in the Salish Sea!
Apart from the Humpback Whales we also took our guests to Race Rocks ecological reserve to see the countless Sea Lions, Harbor Seals and Northern Elephant Seals.
