More pictures from todays encounters with K & L-pod! Sept 3rd, 09.

Passengers watch spell-bound at the sight of so many Orcas

Here are more images from this afternoons encounter with members of K & L-pod. We saw well over 30 Orcas today including L78 "Gaia", L12 "Alexis", K40 "Raggedy" and K21 "Cappucino":)

K21 and K40 made a nice pass of our vessel, just over 100 yards away, which was a real thrill for our passengers. Seeing Orcas in the wild going about their daily routine of hunting, feeding, socializing, playing, resting or traveling is one of the most incredible experiences one can enjoy in life!

As we watched the Orcas we could see some high speed porpoising, foraging, spyhops and even a couple of breaches!

On our way back to Victoria we stopped off at the Chain Islets and saw several Harbor Seals.

With great passengers, perfect weather, amazing action from the Orcas it was another unforgettable day on the water:)
